GBM Pakistan (Private) Ltd. was launched in Karachi on January 24 th 2007 at a ceremony attended by dignitaries as well as the Country General Manager of IBM Pakistan, Mr. Humayun Bashir, and Dr. Aamir Matin, Cisco’s Country Manager for Pakistan, in addition to the CEO of GBM, Mr. Cesare Cardone and other senior company representatives and media delegates.

GBM Pakistan, which is a wholly owned operation of Gulf Business Machines, is a major business partner of IBM, as well as a Symantec Gold Partner and Cisco SMB Select Partner. The organization offers a full range of cutting-edge business solutions drawing on local resources as well as those of parent company Gulf Business Machines (GBM), the sole distributor for IBM in the Gulf, excluding Saudi Arabia.

Further expansion is planned in Pakistan, to meet the needs of customers throughout the country, and while the initial flow of skills will be from the Gulf base of GBM to Pakistan, the company is investing in developing skills in the country on various projects over the next few years.
