GBM and IBM recently organized a half-day event in Kuwait to demonstrate the best approach to achieving business resiliency - the ability for organizations to rapidly adapt and respond to risks, as well as opportunities, in order to maintain continuous business operations, be a more trusted partner, and enable growth.
As part of the event, executives from both companies presented new solution offerings based on IBM System x and IBM Storage products to help risk management and mitigation and achieve business resiliency across globally integrated systems. In addition, they outlined how it is possible to achieve an integrated program aligned to the evolving business needs and risk tolerance levels of an organization.
"Considering the growth of business in the Middle East, corporations have become more focused on ensuring that their business is protected from all kinds of system failures," said Wolfgang Schwarzimmer, Country General Manager for Khorafi Business Machines - the Kuwait operation for GBM.
"This is why we are pleased to meet with our customers today to outline the benefits of our business resiliency solutions and how we can help them reduce operational cost, increase customer satisfaction, mitigate costs associated with downtime, meet regulatory compliance and create an IT environment which is agile, flexible, responsive, secure and resilient."
With extensive experience in implementing business continuity solutions for very large customers in the region, GBM can help customers identify and fill gaps in their current business continuity strategy. Together with IBM's worldwide expertise, GBM can leverage the IBM Enterprise Resiliency Blueprint to analyze the risk level and work with organizations to find the right mitigation strategies.
Another event was arranged in Dubai by GBM together with IBM, Intel and VMware to provide customers the best approach to make their business more efficient through "virtualization and consolidation of their IT infrastructures".
Earlier this year, GBM teamed up with distributors and vendor partners to host customer seminars in Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain, UAE and Oman. This was aimed at discussing how GBM can help customers build dynamic infrastructures that are business like, secure, simple to manage and most importantly cost-effective.
